How companies are investing in resilience – Presentation of the guide to incentive programmes
Mittwoch, 10. Juni, 2026 | 10:00 Uhr – 10:45 Uhr | OnlineAs part of ‘EU Green Week’, the Lake Constance Foundation is presenting its guide to incentive schemes for improving biodiversity in food systems
In the face of climate change, price fluctuations and rising production costs, biodiversity-promoting concepts are gaining importance in supply chains. The food industry and retail sector are directly dependent on stable agricultural production. The quality and quantity of food are heavily dependent on functioning ecosystems. At the same time, the food industry and retail sector thus have enormous leverage along global supply and value chains.
For the first time, the guide offers a structured overview of the various formats of such incentive schemes – ranging from financial to technical support.
In this event, we will examine key decision-making areas – from financing and payment mechanisms to participation rules, monitoring and communication – which together determine how an incentive programme works in practice. We will look at practical examples and will be happy to discuss your questions.
Target audience
Food and beverage companies, sustainability managers, farmers, researchers and policy-makers working on biodiversity, agricultural supply chains and corporate sustainability.
This event, part of the ‘Fit for Biodiversity’ project, contributes to the theme of EU Green Week 2026: ‘Investing in nature: a win for people and the economy’.
Fit for Biodiversity
The EU LIFE project ‘Fit for Biodiversity’ aims to significantly improve biodiversity management in the food industry.
